I have had experiences in various settings, working with a myriad of mental health issues. I have particular interest and expertise working with issues related to life transitions, interpersonal difficulties, first generation experience, women’s health, and discrimination. My practice is LGBTQ+ friendly. My style is active, collaborative, and responsive. I offer free brief phone consultations – feel free to contact me.
I received my Ph.D. from Columbia University and trained in major NYC hospitals working with individuals with a variety of presenting concerns. I have had exposure to different approaches to treatment, which helps me to be effective and flexible in how I target the therapy. I completed a post-doctoral fellowship in university mental health and have an appreciation of the challenges of launching into adulthood and identify development.
I am bilingual and practice in English and Spanish for individuals who prefer therapy be conducted in Spanish or for the bicultural/bilingual individual that may want the linguistic freedom.
I hold a faculty position at Columbia University Medical Center and provide clinical supervision at Columbia/New York Presbyterian Hospital.
