Depression or anxiety can happen to anyone, and is sometimes hard to understand. It may be the result of painful events, chronic medical problems, or a life out of balance. Therapy can be an opportunity to resolve these issues. Energy that had been spent managing problems like anxiety, addiction and depression, can be used to create a healthier life. While reaching out for help takes courage, not doing so may cause greater pain for you and those you love. Therapy is a courageous journey that offers positive, life-changing possibilities. There is much to learn, and much to gain.
I believe the foundation of this work is providing the client with an atmosphere of trust, safety, and compassion, elements necessary to support one’s search for authentic self. Your time and life is valuable. Therefore, I work in a collaborative relationship with my clients to reach their goals.
My approach is active, dynamic and focused. As clients explore their current difficulties, they gain awareness and can make more conscious choices. I use valuable techniques that I can teach you to use at home. One is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and the other is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).
