My name is Julio Ginel and I am a licensed mental health counselor. But, before doing this, I did other things, as I am sure many of you have. I am a proud Puerto Rican, born in Ponce and raised in the South Bronx. I spent 13 years in and out of military service, and in the midst of that service was able to obtain my bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College in 1997, and my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from NYIT in Old Westbury in 2011. Recently, I have been training on techniques to help clients process trauma and issues of identity.
