I believe that every one of my clients comes into therapy with an incredible amount of strengths; my clients are often successful (even if they don’t feel like it), articulate, sensitive, kind and creative adults. They are people’s moms, friends and partners who are engaged in their lives but may be feeling stuck and lonely. They may struggle with depressive and anxious feelings; sometimes filled with guilt, self-doubt and dissatisfaction developing meaning relationships with others. However, all my clients have something in common, they are looking for a more fulfilling life and are motivated to grow.
I have a particular interest in working with adults experiencing transitions, Latinx identity, biculturalism/racial and ethnic identity exploration, immigrant, refugee experience, body positivity, childhood trauma, LGBTQIA+ Mental Health. As a culturally informed psychotherapist my work is guided by a sense of cultural humility + empathy + compassion.
I want to help you increase your understanding of how your past experiences influence your current behavior and emotional responses, while discovering ways to reduce the impact of stress stress in your life, increase your self-compassion and maintain better emotional balance. I’m a LGBTQ+ affirming therapist who is bilingüe.
